Holiday Lights in the Garden

When it comes to Christmas lights in Fayetteville, the Cape Fear Botanical Garden is the place to be! This year marks the 9th anniversary of the Holiday Lights in the Garden event which runs every weekend all month long. This year’s event will be a bit different due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but safety measures have been put into place to keep all guests safe.

Oven one million lights will be on display along with a caroling hayride, s’mores roasting, and lots of other entertainment. Kids will also have the opportunity to take photos with Santa and visit his workshop. Bring the whole family to this popular local Christmas event in Fayetteville and enjoy the spirit of the season the right way!

Christmas in the Park

Another fantastic location for some of the best Christmas lights in Fayetteville is the beautiful Arnette Park. The beautiful holiday lights display along with natural scenery along the Cape Fear River makes this the perfect place for a holiday event. Lights will be on display throughout the park trail for you and your family to enjoy, but this year’s event will be different from previous years.

Due to the pandemic, this year’s Christmas in the Park will be a drive-through event to help keep guests safe and socially-distanced. This is still a classic, family-friendly local Christmas event in Fayetteville that’s not to be missed though!

Meadow Lights – Cancelled for 2020

Not all holiday light displays require big events to enjoy. One of our favorite local traditions for seeing Christmas light displays in Fayetteville is heading out to view the Meadow Lights. This massive light show carries on a 40-year-old homegrown tradition started by one family with an abundance of Christmas spirit!

Over the past several decades, it’s grown from one well-lit home to a full-on light show extravaganza. They’ve even added a holiday carousel, train, and concessions stand so that even Santa himself couldn’t stay away. Celebrate the season properly by checking out the Meadow Lights with your loved ones this year.
