Where Did Fudge Come From?
The origins of fudge are a bit of a mystery, but it is thought to have originated in the United States in the late 1800s. The first recorded recipe for fudge was published in 1886, and it became a popular treat among college students at the time. Then, in the early 1900s, fudge recipes began to show up in cookbooks, and the popularity of fudge spread across the country.
What Is a Fudge Bar?
A fudge bar is a chocolate dessert that typically has a layer of chocolate fudge on the bottom, and then a layer of cake or brownie on top. Sometimes, the fudge layer is in the middle, and there are variations with different kinds of frosting or toppings. But generally speaking, a fudge bar has layers of chocolate deliciousness!
The great thing about making your own fudge bars is that you can control the ingredients and make them as healthy or indulgent as you want. You can also experiment with different flavors and mix-ins.
